WHAT NEXT FOR FNCS AND COMPETITIVE GAME IN 2021?

Hello competitive Fortnite players:

On behalf of everyone on the team, we hope you are enjoying Chapter 2 - Season 5! As we wind down 2020 and head into 2021, we wanted to give you an update on what you can expect competitive Fortnite play to look like in 2021 and beyond.

IN-PERSON TOURNAMENT UPDATE

Our intention is to host world tournaments in person again, but our priority for such an event is the health and safety of our players and staff. With so much still unknown about what's practical and safe, we don't plan on hosting in-person events in 2021, including a Fortnite World Cup. We will continue to offer competitions online throughout 2021 with the hope that physical events of one kind or another may return at some point in the future.

TRIOS FNCS FOR THE WHOLE YEAR 2021

FNCS will continue through 2021 and we are leveling the group size from FNCS to Trios for the foreseeable future! Although lines are a constant at FNCS, we can always change the scoring and / or ranking formats season by season. Our hope with this change is to give more stability and consistency to the FNCS.

FNCS Chapter 2 - Season 5 is scheduled to debut on February 4. This date gives players ample time to adjust to the new season and give our team more time to make adjustments before playing FNCS. We will have more detailed information on FNCS as February approaches.

MORE TOURNAMENTS

FNCS will be the constant measure of success in competitive Fortnite, but we are looking for other avenues for high level competition in 2021. Beyond our biggest competitions, in 2021, we are preparing a schedule with more weekly tournaments, unique tournaments and Creator Cups throughout the year. There will be plenty of competitions (not just trios!) To scratch the competitive itch between FNCS seasons.

CHAPTER 2 - SEASON 5 CHANGES

We'll be watching some of the new gameplay mechanics in Chapter 2 - Season 5 and how they work on competitive playlists. With competitive playlists, the new bar system will reset players to 0 bars at the start of each game, and these bars cannot be carried over between competitive games. We are still discussing ideas to further implement this system in competition, without negatively impacting the game. We will be paying special attention to your feedback this season with this new mechanic.

Hey what's up guys it's cipher there is a lot in store for Fortnite in 2021

Gun exotic SMG now here's something I want to say about the exotics right now a lot of them are pretty useless and not worth the gold at the cost however the run gun SMG actually looks like an exotic that might be very useful 1 that I personally want to purchase it is basically a rapid fire SMG it's probably gonna have similar stats or better to the rapid fire you guys remember how much I enjoyed playing with the rapid fire but it also has an increased movement speed while you have the S. N. G. out so basically I used to combine the hot pepper with the rapid fire for some insane mobility and high fire rate now you're gonna have that built into the SMG the speed movement of the pepper plus yes M. G. you have a both in 1 but potentially some better stats so this thing could probably shred on top of that usually epic allows you to stack speed boost this is not a hot pepper speed boost so you most likely will be able to combine a hot pepper plus this SMG plus hop rocks and get some insane to movement speed with this new exotic weapon that's gonna have probably really hi fi reported high expiry in the game and do some considerable damage I'm excited to try it out it looks like it's going to come to the game sometime very soon hopefully be in before the end of the season another exotic that's coming to the game is the freeze A. R. it's gonna be the first right.

Well with multiple ours so the thing about this is actually it seems like they're trying to add more weapons that actually have an effect on players beyond just damaging them you should somebody with this a are you going to actually give them the freeze affect any gonna start sliding around you can keep someone kinda. Trapped in the storm of the China rotating you hit them with this especially if you're going up hill which is gonna start sliding down I'm assuming is going to be a scar level weapons so it's going to do the same amount of damages a scar we also have a footage of a 10 stack heavy more tart type item this looks very overpowered especially because the fire rate looks insane.

It's gonna shoot like a lot of of rocket type attacks at once the fiery in this video could be a mistake because this is leaked footage so this might not be the final product but what do you guys think about this item looks like it's a short range rocket launch maybe so that you can rain down on people below you are boxed in it looks like it's pretty over power from this footage that you can see and most likely will be adjusted by the time it goes out because this looks really insane the fiery we also have leaks about a slur zucca it's basically a band specific but it's going to give you slurp instead so health and shields very strong weapon most likely will use 2 slots just like the band's hook up this item has been in the files for a while so it could have been canceled but it also could have been on the back burner for the next season no pistol this is a very strange one we got footage of this leak this might be just a developer item or it could just be April fool's item is coming to the game this one end the troll launcher actually both scream April fools the Metroline sure is like some sort of rocket launcher but it doesn't actually shoot rockets you can shoot it really fast and doesn't actually do any damage so these 2 items if I had to guess I would say that it could be a prank item potentially April fools I don't know if epic is really done anything for April fools in the previous years this might be their first attempt at giving us like some troll weapons actually have they have done I remember they did the boogie bombs were if you got hit with the boogie bomb

You jump really high and would fall to your death so this is where the real sauce comes in all right we have some information about potential weapon mod slots like web. Been attachments like scopes and extended mags things like we've seen in call of duty in other games could be potentially coming to Fortnite we got some information from high packs a prominent leaker about these items potentially coming in like imagine if you could add a thermal scope to any weapon of your choosing with your attitude SMG a sniper and a are a complete transform the weapon and maybe add an extended magazine to S. N. G. or maybe have a weapon do little more damage for 1 clip we're not sure exactly what kind of attachments might be coming but we do see that there are some weapon mod slots in the game files that have been leaked so this is something that could potentially start at a new season could be start of season 6 or maybe a future do not align.

I definitely don't see this happening mid season it is a pretty big game changing up there most likely will have its own season attached to it would you guys like to see weapon mods come to the game if so what kind of weapon attachments would you like to see is most likely will be looted bowl you pick them up you attach them to a weapon this could really have a lot of changes to how the game is played and how the gun play is and honestly the gun playing Fortnite is not its strongest point it's really the building the mechanics of the game not so much the shooting of the game so this could be a way to kind of elevate the gun play a 4 night and kind of have a little more variety in the fight that you have I can only see this being a good thing unless there's stuff that is really over powered for weapon attachments that could you know ruin the balance of the game

But we'll have to see when it comes out if it comes out if it does it looks like it's coming out in season 6 this also could be linked to a mining which is supposed to come in 2021 this new weapon attachments stuff might be a way to help us or hurt you know help modders create weapon attachments to put in their own game mode of Fortnite like I said modding is its own complete piece that's just you know gonna overtake the content side of things up for me because we were going to be able to create their own versions of the game which is gonna be really cool to see graph He is supposed to be getting his skin as soon and he made a troll tweet apparently was April fools in Spain and and he made a troll tweets saying that his skin got canceled was really sad and was crying it wasn't sure if you're gonna play the game anymore but it was all just like a marketing thing to get some hype around the skin his skin is not getting canceled it was just a joke a prank I even fell for myself I was live streaming a cell of people tweet about it I thought it was the J. he is still getting his skin as far as I know it should be coming out very soon in some strange news

There is a old video game called Carmen Sandiego and Netflix is actually making a show about this game but what's interesting and how this relates to 49 is that Jones C. agent Jones he actually has an appearance in the show so the Tennessee might be seeing another collaboration happening maybe another hunter is gonna be pulled from the show I don't really know anything about Carmen Sandiego if you guys do let me know I don't think Fortnite would have Jones he gonna show for no reason there is most likely to be some sort of collaboration coming up pretty soon with the show's release date is on that's all I have for now in today's video I hope you guys enjoyed the leaks and discussion there's some really interesting stuff coming to the game potentially 2021 Fortnite is gonna look a lot different I'm very excited to see how it turns out with the modding a potential weapon attachments new exotics it's gonna be a great year for Fortnite have a great feeling about it...
