Fortnite Pulled From iOS App Store As Epic Games And Apple Feud - Epic Games

Apple is blocking Fortnite updates and reinstalls in the App Store and has announced that we will end our ability to develop Fortnite for Apple devices. As a result, the new Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 4 (v14.00) update will not be released on iOS and macOS on August 27.

Apple has banned Fortnite from the App Store and removed the ability for everyone to install and update the game on iOS devices. Epic has been asked to remove the Epic Direct Payment feature. Apple is keeping prices high to allow 30% of your payments to be collected and is blocking Fortnite to prevent Epic from passing the savings from the direct payments on to you! Fortnite is still available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, GeForce Now and the Epic Games app for Android. Your account, progress, and purchases will also remain available on these platforms.

Why can't I access Fortnite on my device?

How do I get a refund if I spent money on Fortnite and can't access my purchases because of Apple's retaliation?

Unfortunately, Apple Epic Games does not allow players to be reimbursed directly for purchases from the App Store, but instead requires players to request a refund from Apple. If you would like to request a refund from Apple, follow these instructions: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084.

We provide full refunds to all customers who made a purchase using Epic Direct Payment on iOS before August 28. It may take until September 7 for your payment method to be refunded. No action is required on your part and you keep the V-Bucks and items you purchased.

What if I gift new content, including the Season 4 Battle Pass, to players who access Fortnite on iOS or Android (through Google Play)?

Players will not be able to receive freebies, including the Battle Pass for Chapter 2 - Season 4, on iOS and Android (via Google Play), and will need to sign into another platform that has access to version 14.00 in order to take advantage of the gift. . Even then, the gift, be it the Battle Pass, a new outfit, etc., is no longer available for iOS or Android (via Google Play) after receipt.

Why doesn't Epic capitulate to Apple's demand to end Epic's direct payment?
